Which Is Worse ???

    I have never understood why a kid can't have a leather or plastic bracelet around her wrist,but could wear a pair of sunglasses that if hit in the face could damage her eyes !!! I may can understand the earrings thing also,but a rubber / leather or plastic wrist band..C'MON !!! Somebody with authority please explain !!!

    They Can be a Safety Hazard

    for someone on the other team. If a player is wearing something on their wrist and goes to make a tag on a runner it is possible that the player on offense could get a finger caught under the wristband and in turn break a finger.

    Had a senior last week with her ear pierced(at the top) and could not unscrew the earring. Ump said if he sees it she out of the game. We put athletic tape around her ear like a wrestler with cauliflower ear....LOL

    He then says he knows it's there and he could still eject her if he wants to. There was no shining metal or anything showing, just white tape. My DD gave her a headband/earwarmer to wear and she still played.....go figure?

    No law against being cool.......seriously I've never allowed mine to wear them.:beatnik2:

    I've never understood why they don't just let them wear jewelry. As long as it isn't long dangling things not really a big deal. They wear it in college

    They are afraid that one day they might come out there with a Wonder Woman bracelet on.
