Charlotte Observer Sweet 16....

...I hear the paper is getting ready to crank up the first Sweet 16 poll.
Which teams would you include, and what are their records so far ?

 

North Davidson

Call me partial...but North Davidson should make the list!!!

They're 2 and 0 as of 3/4/08


I guess it should be impartial...shouldn't it...LOL

 

Call me impartial but ND should be at or near the top of the list ( right behind SC) LOL

 

Paper will release their first poll on Thursday. The voters have already casts ballots for the first poll. Their definitely will be changes in the next rankings from what will be released on Thursday.

I have some thoughts, but I'll wait to see what everyone else thinks.

 

Travis,,, keep in mind, the Observer has a TON of teams in this area, and sometimes they can only go with the information that they receive 2nd hand from someone else. Look at my "tip" that I gave Cliff Merhtens on the thread that he started,,,, I think that is what you're referring to. I give Cliff & staff an A+ for effort, realizing they have a tough job.

 

I sent him an e-mail as well. It's hard to stick your neck out and try to cover the entire reading area, but if you are going to take that risk, you are going to have to listen to the debate that insues.

 

Travis, I have no problem generating discussion, or sticking a neck out. Heck, that's the goal of any poll.....right or wrong, we just want you to read it and comment on it.

We asked a handful of readers during football season to send us their Sweet 16 polls, after many had complained....funny thing, they looked a lot like our poll.

The baseball poll will shake out eventually, as teams play more games, and more get reported to me.

Folks, I want you to tell me what teams should be in/out of the poll. I appreciate y'all's passion for the sport.

Remember, too, it's just a poll. The real deal is settled on the field.
