How do you feel about....

I suspect that's the answer. The very few times I have witnessed a student keeping the scorebook, it appeared many times the coach would confer with the student over hits, errors or anything else that was subjective.

...and does it mean that hese particular kids are the best hitters? Well, some in fact are! But, I will mention what a VERY prominent coach/administrator/TB "guru" ( sorry, had to go there )., said to me at the HS game. We were discussing bookkeeping in general, and he said, that he keeps a record, unofficial, but correct stats, so that when a college coach asks about one player or another, he can state factual information about stats with an asterisk! What? Cool what he was getting at here, he will put an * if an opposing pitcher is ave. or below, no disrespect, only to verify a kid going 5-5, or a pitcher throwing a perfect game to a team that can't spell bunt. Anyway, I KNOW of at least 10 around here that will rock the batters box well over .450.
