    Maiden at West Caldwell

The Maiden Blue Devils(2-1) rolled into West Caldwell on a good night for baseball, needing to get back on the winning track. They did just that tonight at WC winning 8-4. The Devils got good pitching from B. Huffman and L. Pearson, giving up only 5 hits and striking out 8. At the plate, the Devils had 11 hits and were lead by Justin Sizemore 3-5, Matt Kelly 2-5 and several others with one hit apiece, including Ashton Leatherman's HR. The team looked and played a lot better than Monday night. Way to go BLUE DEVILS!!! :clap:WC at the plate was lead by G. Hendricks 3-3.

In a pitchers duel in Roxboro, Person held on to secure a 3-2 win over South Granville. It was a well pitched game for both pitchers and some very good defense was played. SR RHP Jeremy Peed earned the save by getting the final 3 outs in the 7th, after Dickens no-hit bid was broken up by Darroch's 2 run HR with no outs.

    Davie County vs North Rowan

    Davie County 2
    North Rowan 1

Another pitchers duel! Zach-Russell Myers threw 7 innings for Davie, Billy Veal threw 6 or 7 for North Rowan. Haven't seen the stats yet but there had to be atleast 30-35 K's between the two starters.
Clint Howell came in to pitch the 8th inning for Davie and picked up the win when Jess Cartner looped a hit over North's 3rd baseman to score the winning run.

Davie is now 4-0, will host Salisbury on Friday
