My wife uses a small Canon Powershot S2 15. We are going to upgrade during travel ball.

Please come out with THAT camera

I wish I had that camera or a Digital Rebel but I am shooting with a Fuji S7000 I think?? I've had it for a few years and would love to upgrade.

I've been using a Kodak Z740 5 mega pixel, which was affordable and takes great pictures as long as it's not a night game. ChangeUp2 would be the one to talk to, he's always got the sweetest, most sharp, vibrant pics you'll find up here. I talked to him at one of the tourneys last summer but forgot what he uses, think it's a DSC-H1, 10 megapixel.

    Thanks WLfan !

LarryD's Canon D5 is a nice camera --- I think any of the DLSR's from Canon , Nikon , and Sony are GREAT cameras . But without having to change lenses and worrying about dirt there are some great super zoom point and shoots that also have video. I suggested to cfever that the S5 IS Canon is a super zoom with real nice video capabilities. Link

I shoot with a Sony H1 and H2. These cameras are 6 megapixel. They are really good in the day but at dusk til dawn the video is my only option unless you hammer a flash.

It takes a 2.3 meg. JPG picture which can be cropped in about half the picture size and still make a decent 8x10 print. Below is an example .

Here is my H2 --- with fence shooting protection !! Guru knows.

Original picture -- not full zoom or any crop .

This crop will be about 1 meg. JPG and could be printed as a 8x10 print and still show detail.

    for change-up and shutterbug

So what's your suggestion on a camera that will shoot great for softball, and maybe a little volleyball action? Video would be great too. Can you really get good quality for both digi and video in one camera? I have been drooling over the Digi Rebel since it came out but if I can get away with something nice for less money, that would be fantastic. Mine is 6.2 MP and it has a good zoom but I want better color and clarity.
