    Freshman

I have had the pleasure of coaching against, Luke dunlap, Grayson Atwood, Cory dick, Brent Burris, Shane Dickerson, Jordan Ramsey, Dylan May, and George Carter. These guys are players and they are legitimate Varsity ball players regardless of their grade. There are a couple of others who have yet to play on the varsity for whatever reason, but they will be their before the season is over. They are also great kids who soaks up information and will only get better.

    2011 Class

As pirates06 has said before the 2011 Class is an extremely talented group of players. They have played together on travel teams or played against each other for the past five or six years. They have played against the best competition in the nation and have done very well. Some of these kids have won two AAU Division One National Championships and have placed in the top three in several other National Level Championship Tournaments. Some of these players are playing at the varsity level while some are playing at the JV level. It just depends on the circumstances, such as the depth of the baseball program at each school. Before it is all said and done the 2011 class may end up being the best collective group to ever come out of the state.

Most of these guys played for the Angels. They won the Nationals at 10 and 13.The 2012 players from the Angels also won the 13 and under Nationals. The Tarheels,G.B.C,Bluejays along with the Heat all have some very good players also.I have to agree with the 2011 class if these guys continue to work they have a chance to be the best since Ackeley Mitchell ,Johnson, and that group who also won the National Championship. If I spelled some ones name wrong I am sorry. If I left some teams out of the 012 class forgive me just wanted to mention a few.

    Wesleyan Christian Varsity Freshman

Freshman Christopher Ferrante is hitting lead off and handling the catching duties for the varsity squad of Wesleyan Christian. He went 2 for 4 with a 2B in his first game against Richmond County. Wesleyan Christian is off to a 4-0 start this year.

There are Still alot of good Freshmen that are playing J.V. Micheal Russell, Cody Strickland, Nate Cooper, all from Meck Co. Shawn Weber, AJ James Cabarrus Co. Guss Fessperman, Nat Dunlap, Jace Whitley, From Stanly Co. That will be park of the 2011 Team and I know I left some out.

I think the Carolina Flames had alot of good players on there team that are apart of that 2001 team. The Flames won alot of AAU Tournaments in there day. They also had a 1st, and 3rd and 4th place National metals

    Agree

I have seen most of these players play and have to say that Michael Russell is a talented player. He is a good contact hitter and smart baseball player in the field.

    GBC 11 and 12U 2004,2005

The Greensboro Batting Center 11U in 2004 and the same team at 12U in 2005 were pretty solid as well. Most players started on their Varsity High School Team as freshmen and all are starting as sophs. How's this for a list:
Brock Hudgens (SW Guilford), DJ Thomas (Denton), Parks Jordan (Glenn), Austin Blake (Reagan), Cal Sutphin and Sawyer Highfill (Grimsley), Zach Macenany (Western Alamance), Nolan Sewell (SW Randolph), Walt Sparks, Billy Stone, Ben Fultz and Desean Anderson (Ragsdale), Michael Zeblo (Broughton), Jonathan Holt (W. Forsyth), Tyler Jordan (Iredell) and Jake Joyce (Bassett Va.).
This team won three National Championships including The AAU National Championship in 2004 and The Cooperstown National Championship in 2005.
