    Ledford vs W Forsyth

    W Forsyth 1 12inn.

    Great game by both teams. Nip and tuck the whole way. Frenchie your DD played great. Erica we hate to face you cause you're too dangerous.

    But the real kudos goes to a freshman pitcher, Kristen Murphy. She went the whole 12 inn. She pitched a Gem! I can't say enough about this kid. She's got the talent and tenacity beyond her years.
    Also "Nickel" Brittney Teer had a great game and helped to lead this team on both sides of the white line!!

    Parkland high school runs its record to 3-1 with a 11-5 victory over Southern Guilford at home. Katey strikes out 11 in victory.
    Parkland led by senior LeAnn Flowers 4-4 w/1 RBI and Morgan Myers went 3-4 w/ 3 RBI and Ashley Myers went 1-1 w/4 RBI including 3 sacs.
    Next game at conference rival Reagan tomorrow at 5:00 JV and 6:30 Varsity

    Wow...


    3 Blues studs.....Austyn French for WF and Murph for Ledford. Erica from WF also Plays for Rodney's squad.

    Glad to they "get it" as far as the pitching goes now at Ledford. Murph is a stud who will make all conference, maybe all state, if they let her toe the rubber enough in a tough conference.

    I had the best seat in the house at the game cause I get to do the PA for the West Forsyth games. This was one of those games where both teams had opportunities to put the game away, but Ledford had the big hit in the top of the 7th to tie and then took advantage of a couple WF mistakes at the end.

    All 3 pitchers in the game (Smith and Fulton for WF and Murphy for LHS) did a great job. The WF pair kept the ledford girls guessing all night, and Ms. Murphy has one of the best change ups (that moves) I have seen in a long time.

    Great game.

    Those Myers girls are on fire! Great to see the Parkland team off to a good start.

    Classic pitchers duel

    Northwood suffered it's first loss in a 10 inning battle with Jordan Mathews 3-2. Olivia Peavy ('09) went the distance for JM and Carrie Webster ('10) did the same for Nwood. Score went back and forth as each team manufactured one run at a time. Padgett Harrington ('11) had both rbi's for Northwood. It was a fun game to watch as both teams played well.
