GREAT Job KASEY TALLEY. That homerun..I'm glad I'm not the only one now haha. Great player right here, always in the game and always getting people up. Couldn't do it without her in centerfield and she's always keeping me positive on the mound. Keep it up girl & I promise we will all get through this. BTW thanks to all who has given me praise on here.

Donnie Pennell-tell that HP keep poppin that glove :shiny:. You got a great team and I feel ya about leaving runners on base.

    Adding to fast's post :)

    Harnett Central JV

    Sara Klingel (WP) 8k's
    Caroline Womble (LP) 4k's

Top offensive players at Western Harnett JV:

Caroline Womble 1 Hit, 2 Runs, 1 RBi
    Sierra Holmes 1 Double, 1 Triple, 2 RBI's, 1 Run
Laura Worriax 1 Hit...and on the defensive end, great double play from CF

Outstanding pitching by Sara Klingel from HCHS JV!

    WHHS vs HCHS

    Jessi Lane (WP) 9K's 1BB 2Hits (5 innings)
    Kerstine Womack (LP) 2K's 2BB 2HP 3H
Relieved by Heather Hockenberry in 2nd Inning. Hockenberry 0K's 1HP 2H

    Top offensive players HCHS:

    Toni Williford, 1BB 1 Triple, 1 Run
    Amber Sauls 1BB, 1HP, 1H

    Top offensive players WHHS:

    Kerstine Womack 1H
    Caroline Womble 1H

Rough, really rough, first inning for WHHS. With 2 BB, 2 HP, and an error that first inning, HCHS took advantage and racked up 7 runs. WHHS tightened up over the next 3 innings, but it was too little too late. And with Jessi Lane's phenomenal pitching and an outstanding field to back her up, while WHHS put the ball into play 8 times, they could just not get a run across that plate.

    South Stanly

The girls at South Stanly are playing some good ball right now. they are 7-0 only allowed three runs the entire year. All three of those runs whee scored after the had the game well in hand. The pitching of the whitley sisters has been unreal (chelsea 09' and nikki 11') they have combined to throw four no hitters and have not given up more that 4 hits in a game . The last five game they have only given up 2 hits and that was to forest hills (they scored a run) The other two team that have scored are west stanly and hickory grove in the first two games of the year ( 1 apiece) They only have 3 seniors on the squad, lots of juniors, a sophomore or two and a freshman or two. These girls have worked hard so far this year, and look to be stong for the rest of the season.
