Don't think so. Her foot has to be entirely out of the batters box, on the ground and she must make contact with the ball. IMO, her toe is touching a part (a small part) of the line.

This is a close one, but she is in the box.

When you find a way to get that call, let me know. I have been a failure in ever getting a call on the slappers.

I agree as some umpires don't know the rules. But what has helped us in the past is after the little meeting at home plate before the game, pull the plate umpire to the side and where no one can hear, and just go over the batters box rules.

At times I have had umpires who thought if any part of the foot was over the line the batter was out, and some didn't know you had to make contact with the ball.

    Had one today

Our home plate ump made that same call today against West Caldwell. She was not inside, but out in front of the box by maybe 1/2 step. Could have gone either way. We threw her out anyway, but it was close. We also had the Cheese rule with the 04 RT. One official came to our dugout said my DD's RT (04 Black/Red) couldn't be used and threw it out into the grass. Then their 3rd batter came up swinging one just like it. We of course protested and was awarded ours back after asking NICELY:xyxthumbs::to get the rulebook out. It didn't matter after that, she cracked it on the first swing and went to the new one.

    Kick the chalk.......

.....well, it works. #4 appears out of the box at first glance, but the eye of the camera puts us in our place. Wouldn't it be nice to have instant replay available in TB?!!!!!....UHHHH, we'll never finish a game. LOL #4s in the box and if she wasn't....no harm if she doesn't make contact.
