    Congrats to our Black Knights!!!

Great tourney for our guys...Zach Joyce picked up his first win of the season in the championship game. Tyler Hanover grabbed another save and the Black Knights' bats were alive and well!!!

Good luck to the Black Knights (now 9-0 and 1-0 in the CPC) as the schedule comes back a little closer to home as the CPC schedule continues at Mt Tabor on Friday and back at North on April 1st against Davie County.

I know there are a lot of great teams in the state...but the CPC has got to be one of the toughest conferences.

    Go Black Knights!

    Hopewell over West Iredell

    Hopewell - 7 West Iredell - 1

    WP - Jack Lane
    LP - Brian Romito

Hopewell played the first game yesterday in the small Easter Tournament being sponsored by Lincolnton High School. The facility was nice and the Lincolnton Booster Club were great hosts. The game was close through the first several innings with Hopewell scoring their first couple of runs in the 3rd inning, after Jack Lane singled to send Rusty White and Keith Prowse home, finally getting the Titans on the board. The Titans had stranded several runners up to that point as Brian Romito was strong on the mound for the Warriors. Hopewell added another in the 5th, followed by West Iredell scoring one run in the bottom of the fifth. (Brendon Daniel's single scored Ethan Suarez, who had been HBP and advanced to second.) That was the only run scored by the Warriors as Jack Lane pitched well through the first five innings, allowing only 1 hit. Tyler Auten came in to throw the last two for the Titans, allowing only 1 hit as well. The Titans plated another run in the 6th and three insurance runs in the 7th. Leading hitters for the Titans were Rusty White - 3 for 3; Keith Peterson - 2 for 4 (3B); and Kaleb Combs - 2 for 3. The Titans improve their record to 9-1 and will play again tonight at 7:30 against the winner of the Lincolnton/Bandys game.
