    The Concord Spiders traveled down to Myrtle Beach to play some top teams in the Grand Strand Classic Monday through Wednesday and finished with a 2-1 record; there were several strong teams i saw from Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, NC, SC

    Wow teams actually playing over spring break.....What a noble idea. My daughters school gets hammered last week, 16-2, 11-4, and 11-5 and the coach says what the heck lets take spring break off. So they will get one whole practice in before Tuesdays game. Heck the middle school teams are even practicing.

    Paul, if you come up here to Iredell you can get a "Gold Card" from the Board of Education, I believe. Seniors(over 65) can get it free and get in all county games free with it. It does exclude Endowment games though. And, you can do it over the phone and they will mail it to you! You may need to use Sharons address though;-).

    The McDowell Lady Titans also went 2-1 at Myrtle Beach against teams from PA, Maryland and Virginia. I don't have many details, but they had a good trip!
