What with the Softball Polls

    The standings and voting in these polls make no sense at all??? For example: in the 4A Cental Cabarrus loses to North Meck and leap frogs Alexander Cental & in the 3A Fred T. Foard has 2 loses and moves up in the polls, one of those two loses was to St. Stephens who is undefeated and St. Stephens just moved from a honarable mention to #10. 2A Chase loses to East Rutherford and moves up 2 spots? Can any one explain all of this because who ever is doing the voting might want to atleast look at scores and records before they vote.

    I don't think the polls are updated from this past weeks games until Tuesday.

    Like I said, Central Cabarrus lost Thursday the polls came out like last Tuesday or Wednesday and dont come out again till this Tuesday so that would explain that. Also, Central and AC both have one loss so whos to say they shouldnt be ranked ahead of them??

    Well AC and Central may be different but St. Stephens beat Foard 2 weeks ago and are still undefeated, and Foard moves up after a loss makes no sense, as well as the situation with Chase and East Rutherford. there may be more but these are just the ones I know of in the west

    I have wondered why Butler wasnt ranked high they are the reigning 4a state champs and havent lost a game yet?

    I think in a lot of these cases, there's probably noone reporting the scores. If the Coach doesn't report the scores, then how will they know? A lot of these Coaches don't belong to the association, so they don't even know about this kind of stuff. I don't know exactly how it works, but when Pop tells us, maybe every school should designate someone to report the scores. Otherwise, the ones that don't, get penalized, I think?????
