    Polls???

The polls each week are created by the NCSCA. Member coaches are given the opportunity each week to vote in the polls process. The totals are given to the poll committee and the next week's poll is created. Polls represent the week beginning on Monday of each week and ending on Sunday night when all voting for the week ends. Games played on Monday and Tuesday of the next week do not figure in to the most recent poll. There is a great number of factors that go into the voting, such as, wins, wins against ranked opponents, strength of schedule, traditional strength of Conference and so on. Our polls are a collection of ideas and thoughts of coaches who take the time and effort to vote. As Braves mentioned, timely reporting of scores each week and emails to the polls committee are a must. As in most cases, some schools do not care to participate in the polls process, nor do they care to be a member of the Coaches Association. Of course, that is their option and we have no problems with their decision. However, it does become discouraging to our Association and to committees like the poll committee when fans and parents and friends question why their team is not so and so. Scores can be reported to our website by anyone who chooses to represent their school. All you have to do is go to www.ncfastpitch.org, click on the tab, "Submit Game Scores" and your school is represented. We will continue to work hard to present a quality poll of HS Softball in our State. We would also ask that if you have something to share with the polls commitee, you can send your views directly to me at [email protected] and I will personally see that your information is given to the polls committee.

    Thank you,

    Eddie "Pop" Rivers
    President/NCSCA

St. Stephens had to reschedule non conference games with Freedom, East Gaston, and East Rutherford. Because they did not have enough girls to play due to Basketball Playoffs.

we always use the polls to get the team pumped , works if you are moving up or down in the rankings such as if you dropped a notch you tell them they are not getting any respect and challenge them to prove to everyone what there made of and if they are moving up in the polls you motivate them to keep pushing harder every practice because others are starting to believe in them so they should believe in themselves

she did , but some of the others are like my own , when you start coaching them at 6-7 years old and they stay with you on TB trips for years when there parents dont have time to go because you are playing like every other weekend or more they become like part of the family
