It ended up being a beautiful day as the Piedmont Panthers take on Country Day Tuesday afternoon in Charlotte,N.C.. But the most exciting point of the game is when Sophmore Caroline Fagala hit a bomb @ 220' fence ,and sent the C/F through the fence for the catch.. GREAT CATCH & NICE JOB goes out to the Country Day C/F. Then the very next inning Brit Barrineau sent a 4 iron shot 3 run H/R over the C/F fence. Rebekah Reaves had a great day going 3 for 5.[IMG] L/H pitcher Taylor Flynn did an excellent job on the hill, and a 2 hit shutout was the result. Closer Casey Baucom came in to finish the game, along with great defensive plays behind her pitching led the Piedmont Panthers to a 13-0 score. This improves their record to 9-1. Next game will be against the conference leader, "Hickory Ridge", behind the excellent pitching of Emma Stevenson on Thursday if weather permits !!!

That's what she is capable of...

Hey John, saw the post and got the text. Please tell Caroline congrats for me. Sorry it got caught, but glad to see her hitting with power. She has the tools my friend. Tell her to keep working hard and believing in herself. I will see you all soon.

    It starts with the teaching....

I have told everyone that you are the best hitting instructor that I have ever been around....bar none..... Thanks...see you for her lesson Saturday.

Commercial...any of you travel teams should get in touch with me or eyesup and get her with your team. 3-4 weeks in a row and the kids working at home is the key.

Let see about this one. One player actually hits a homerun and one almost does yet she's headlined. Interesting approach!

    I think

that Guru was trying to give props to the amazing play that the CF made to rob Fagala of the HR or hit. Sounds like it should have been a web gem on ESPN. I love to see the outfielders make plays like this. They just don't happen enough and when they do they leave an impression. Caroline is a sophomore trying to break into the varsity lineup so this was a great opportunity for her. She is a competitive young lady and is putting the work in so it is nice to see it payoff when she has the chance.

I missed it earlier, but Casey nice job coming in. Can't wait to get you back on the field this summer. Seems like you guys are rolling along with the usual suspects playing well. Glad to see Rebekah doing well too!

    Another good hitting instructor

If someone is looking for another good hitting instructor, I would suggest Adrian Ochoa. I do not have a DD but heard he is a very good instructor as well. Hope this helps if you are looking.
