    I hear names such as Peeler, Orr, Lang, Murphy, Stevenson, & others as being dominate pitchers in the HS arena. Who are some the 2nd string pitchers waiting in the wings that could start or come in & do a good job for their team. I know Central has Morgan Hooper that has done a pretty good job in the last couple weeks. Just curious. Tumbleweeds

    I guess some of have all the luck. HC has 4 sophmore pitchers who could start almost anywhere. Jessie Lane plays TB with Triangle Lightning. McKenzie Harrelson plays TB with Carolina Wildcats. Emma Cotton plays TB with Cape Fear Storm White. Mary Katherine Pegram plays TB with Triangle Lightning. MK is pitching for JV and has 1 varsity start and win. It is nice to have many horses in the stable. It also helps to have strong defense behind them and lots of hitters on the offense. Hopefully we can make it to state playoffs so all y'all in the west will have a chance to see there is softball being played east of Charlotte.

    Nobody said softball wasn't played east of Charlotte, we have played many great ball teams east of Charlotte... Cape Fear Storm, Fuquay Bombs, Carolina Cougars, Carolina Diamonds, Dominators, Carolina Flames,etc.......there is some great talent in eastern N.C.
