    North Davidson Wins!

    R.J. Reynolds - 1
    North Davidson - 15

    RJR 000 10 1 2 0
    ND 104 (10)x 15 15 0

RJR 7-8 overall and 1-3 CPC
ND 11-1 overall and 3-1 CPC

North Davidson rebounded from their first loss of the season last week with a big win over the Demons of R.J. Reynolds Wednesday night. Clay Watson picked up the win, allowing only 1 run and 2 hits...all of which came in the 4th inning for the Demons. Watson fanned 7 hitters in 5 innings of work and walked none.

The Black Knights' bats came back to life tonight...only striking out twice in 31 possible at bats. Zach Joyce was 2 for 3; Levi Michael was 2 for 2 with a double...and also reached with two walks; Tyler Hanover was 2 for 3 with a towering 3 run homer in the 4th; Zach White was 3 for 3 with a Grand Slam in the 4th and 7 total RBI's; Clay Watson was 2 for 3 and Ben Redmond was 2 for 2...whew!!!

North Davidson will be back in action at home tomorrow (Thrusday) night when they welcome county rival Ledford to the North Davidson Athletic Complex. Game time is 7:00.

They'll return to Central Piedmont Conference play on Friday when they travel to West Forsyth High School to battle an always tough Titan baseball team.

    Go Black Knights!

Fuquay-Varina beat Apex 5 to 4 in the bottom of the 7th inning to take the top spot in the Tri-8 with a 5-0 record and 12-0 over all.

Apex falls to 5-1 in the conference.

    Good Game!

This was one of the better games I have seen this year. Great plays made by both teams. No errors on either team. Some well hit balls and some extra effort plays. Too bad anyone had to lose.

    Parkland 3, Reagan 0

    Parkland 100 002 0 - 3 5 0
    Reagan 000 000 0 - 0 2 0

Ryan Glover and Trey McCraw; Drew Ausley and Tom Dobbins. WP - Glover. LP - Ausley (2-3). 2B - Austin Blake (R), D.J. Little (P), Seth Mahaffey (P), Tanner Beck (P).
    Records - Parkland 9-4 (3-1 Piedmont Triad 3-A), Reagan 6-6 (2-3).

They play each other again Friday at Parkland. There are a couple unsigned seniors on these teams that deserve a look. They have always quietly been winners! Ryan Glover and Trey McCraw for Parkland and Ethan Wilmoth for Reagan are all three seniors who haven't signed yet. Come on out and watch these boys!

It was good to see McDowell on the winning side of things. I know Coach Smith was happy and hopefully this will springboard into a strong finish for the Titans.

Josh Thompson had great command last night getting the complete game victory on the mound. West Lincoln never got any chances until the 7th.
