    1 & 1 count on the batter....

Pop fly down the first base line....,
    ball drifts into foul territory...
    1st basemen boots the catch.
    now 1 ball, 2 strikes....

    3 scenarios...

    1. Batter strikes out on next pitch

    2. Base hit

    3. ground out, 4 to 3.

On which of the above if any, does the first basemen
    get charged with an error?

    It all about the Sprocket....

......on her bike that she rode over to the park. It must have 2004 stamped on it. No more Finley sprockets will be allowed to cloud the game!

....if the batter hits a HR...

.....will it be scored as an unearnerd run? No BS. And I know that I'm not smarter than a t-baller. Read up on how odd scoring can be.

    Seriously?

Can a play on a foul ball ever be considered an error? A brain fart (can I say that???) I can understand but there isn't a box score for that and those kind of plays always seem to come back to bite you but can it really be an error under any circumstance?

It's either no error at all or an error for each case. It doesn't matter what happens on the next pitch.

    Think.....

If a MLB player dropped a foul pop fly, would they charge him?

Rules of the game are very logical... there is reward and penalty,
    all equally dispersed......

    So what is the answer?

you can score an error even if the ball was not in fair territory, which if i was scoring would make the runner, if they eventually scored, an unearned run but i score differently then some people. I would think if the runner got on in any manner after the dropped foul ball the run should be unearned. And o yea just because no one else said it I think play number 1 gets the first baseman an error which I dont like since I used to be a first baseman haha
