If it is T-ball how can there be a 1-1 count on the batter?

    According to NCAA Scoring Guidlines

    http://www.ncaa.org/library/statistical/baseball_softball_scorebook.pdf

    ERROR
SECTION 21. a. An error is charged against any fielder for each misplay (i.e., fielding, wild
throws, missed catches on good throws) that prolongs the life of a batter (causes one or more
pitches to be thrown) or a runner or permits a runner to advance. This includes a
    dropped foul

Didn't say we were playing t-ball.... That's when the game is taught..
They know that if you drop a pop fly, four or fair, its an error.

By the way, it would have been scored

WndMillR... I love this stuff. It is amazing how much is involved in trying to keep the books correct.
Here is one that just happened the other night and I have not had time to look up yet. Runner at 1st. Batter lays bunt down 3d base line and in running to first is hit in back of head with thrown ball from 3d baseman. The blow knocks her to one foot out of the running lane and left foot on the line. Ball deflected but recovered. Batter steps back in to first. Orginial call by plate umpire is safe at first but an argument starts by opposing coach that she was out of running lane. After several minutes, Ump reverses call and calls batter out. Also, orginial 1st base runner has advanced to second but is sent back to 1st. Let me know what your take is on this scenerio.

This situation happened today in the Cubs v. Phillys....

....game. the 1b Charlie Browned an easy popup in foul territory. Subsequently, the batter continued his At Bat. At the end of the inning, we checked the linescore, and sure enough, there was an error scored on the firstbaseman. Wow!, Now I'm wondering if I really do know everything! I guess hearing that I don't doesn't sink in like seeing it on TV.
