    Western Harnett's bats were hot tonight, with 20 hits by the Varsity girls and 0 strike outs. The star of tonight's game was without a doubt pitcher Kerstine Womack. While only striking 5 out from the mound, Kerstine's bat was smoking. Going 4-5 Womack racked up 2 doubles, 1 triple, a 3RBI out of the park HR, 2 more RBI's and 3 runs. Caroline Womble went 4 for 4, racking up an RBI of her own, while Sierra Holmes also racked up 2 RBI's and layed down a sweet Sac Bunt placing 2 runners into scoring position. Camry Douglas went 3 for 4 at bat, and Sarah Thomas added 2 hits as well.

    Losing pitcher M. Roop 0K's 2BB

    Western Harnett JV 15
    Union Pines JV 31 (yes, 31, not a typo LOL)

    With all honesty, despite the score, Western's JV out played Union Pines in this game. Pitching determined this game from start to finish with Western's pitchers struggling to put a strike across the base and Union Pines walking more than 25 times in this game. 19 of the runs were scored on only 3 hits, while of the remaining 12 runs were scored on a combination of walks and 6 hits.

    Top at bat for Western JV:

    Cassie Edwards going 3 for 4 with 3H, 3 R and an RBI
    Amber Ramirez going 2 for 3 with 1S, 1D, 4 RBI and 2 runs
    Taylor Osoborn going 2 for 3 and racking up another 4 RBI's
    Mandy Edwards going 1 for 3 while racking up 2 more RBI's
