Have seen this happen. Good players will seek out certain coaches. Why?Who knows. But, this does take from some area programs. But, some area schools seem to get the right person.

Maybe the coach who leaves is a lil smarter than you think...maybe he sees the writing on the wall and knows the talent level is falling off and sees it at the lower levels (LL, MS, JV) and sees the talent level rising at other conference schools... feels it's best to leave while on top...

Then the new coach comes in and has to actually deal with what the last coach had the foresight to recognize....

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm

Maybe...when coach bails as he sees nothing much in the pipeline, the funds/connections/interest in up keep dwindle as well... have seen it happen with football programs and basketball programs...

Ahhhh...who knows... sounds like a lack of interest by the community/parents/school AD...and short funding...

I am sure the AD was one factor in the old Coach leaving but the funds, connections and interest are all still there. This area bleeds baseball.

I agree with Coach 27, a 3 month coach will have 3 month players and year round dedicated players will suffer. High school passes quickly for players and they have a short time to enjoy the experence. Some want more and work for it, others, not so much. You can't fix a problem until you identfy the problem. It may be too early to lay blame or judge Im not sure.
I know this. You can load a bus with the best people, seat them where you want them, but when the bus gets lost only the driver gets the blame.

Close to the end of an error riddled season, 13 in the last two games alone. I will not give the season total.

This is not a good sign of a program turning around, is it?

It will be interesting to see how the boys perform on their summer teams.

We all know what school this is! It has gone from one of best programs in the state, to one of the least favorite in the area. Not only has the program gone down the drain, have you seen the field lately ??? This program unfortunately, is now a Rec program at best. Daddy Ball!!! I thought that crap stopped when the boys got to High School. Not at this school. If you work out at one of the local baseball facilities (Pineville) your kid will play and play and it won't matter how good your competition is, you'll play. don't be surprised if more and more ball players move out of the area. Dam shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please continue not to mention the school name. Not everyone knows and I'd prefer to keep it that way
