    Shocking??

    West Forsyth 5 5 3
    East Forsyth 7 13 0

    East Pitching:
    WP: Shane Dickerson 6IP 4H 4R 4ER 3BB 4K
    SV: Justin Bolens 1IP 1H 1R 1ER 1BB 1K
    West Pitching:
    Adam Griffin 4IP 7H 3R 3ER 1BB 7K
    LP: Nic Wise 1 2/3 IP 5H 4R 3ER 1BB 1K 1HBP
    Tyler Alberts 1/3 IP 1H 0R 0ER 0BB 1K

    Leading Hitters:
    East: Luke Dunlap 2 for 4 2B 2R RBI, Robby Swab 2 for 4 2B 3R RBI, Ryan Dull 3 for 4 R, Evan Orenstein 3 for 4 3B R RBI

    West: Garrison Lassiter 1 for 3 2B 2R SB, Johnathon Holt 2 for 3 HR 3RBI

Game looked like West was going to have its way with East as Johnathon Hold blasted an oppo homerun in the top of the first, but Luke Dunlap had other ideas as he lead off the bottom of the first with a double. Evan Orenstein knocked in Dunlap and the offensive was on for East. East trailed and tied the game in the 3rd at 3 with 2 runs and West retook the lead in the top of the 6th when Garrison Lassiter laced a double to right. East responded with 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th on I think 4 consecutive hits.

Tonight was Senior night as well. Scott Banks will be attending Appalachain State to pursue a degree in business administration. Travis Starbuck will further his education at Virginia Tech. Robby Swab with join his older brother at Young Harris and will play baseball there. Ryan Dull just recently made his mind up and will be attending UNC-Asheville to pursue a degree in Computer Science and play baseball.

    East is now 15-3 (6-0).

I'm going to be very honest...I never thought that East would be 15-3 at this point in the year. I knew that Robby Swab and Ryan Dull would carry a lot of the load but the underclassmen have really picked it up. Shane Dickerson, Evan Orenstein and Luke Dunlap have been the key underclassman to help the squad out.

When the coaches in Charlotte faced a team described in the Indiana fiasco, they did things to try not to embarrass their opponent. They would never allow the same player to have 4 at bats in the same inning. They may do things that some may say would embarrass the game (no stealing, no advance on a passed ball), but they will try everything they could to not embarrass the other team.
