I really dont care what you think about my puntuation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dd took about 1to 2 minutes to get some meds. She did not go in dugout or stand around and cry. The blue did not have a problem with the amount of time she was taking or did the opposing coaches. Its the MOUTHY RUDE PARENTS who in reality dont have a say in the game. I can tell you I was taught better in life than to treat ppl with no respect. I guess some ppl just got taught better than others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, where in your first post did you mention any of this detail??? All you said is that she went to the sideline for ice and meds, right!!!!! If you would have put all this detail in the first post then I would have definately been on your side, but just saying what you said leaves it up to many variables.

    TAKE A CHILL PILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was at that game,my DD plays for ER so I guess I'm one of the "rude" parents. The people you are referring to as rude are people I know. These are nice people who came to see a ballgame. You failed to mention that our pitcher apologized to that player after she hit her.You also failed to mention that 15-20 minutes passed before anyone from ER said anything. How long is a reasonable amount of time to give a player who has been hit?My DD has played this game a long time, she has been hit plenty.Yes it makes me angry as a parent, but if a batter is going to get up close to the plate, the pitcher is going to brush her back.Guess what, people get hit by pitches. It's not meant to be mean,or in most cases done on purpose,it's part of the game.My DD has been hit in the arms, ribs, knee, and everytime it hurt. After the hit we knew real quick whether she could continue or not.Sometimes we had to take the out, that's the way it goes.I'm sorry your daughter got hit but it's part of the game.Maybe the ER fans where a little impatient but lumping everyone there as rude is not fair or right.

The good, the bad, the ugly

I can say with great pride that our V parents are an awesome group. I canont count how many times this season an opposing player made a great play on the field and while it resulted in one of our dd's being out, we clapped, shouted and praised the player that made the play. In the end, while we of course want OUR team to WIN, we just love a good game and watching young ladies excel athletically.

    There's the good.

The bad and the ugly fall into the same category.

The parents on our JV team can be bad and ugly and there are nights I would just love to turn in my books and say "Your parents need to learn some class - I'm outta here!" But I stay - for the girls. And sadly, while it would be bad enough that they were being ugly to the opposing team, they are, in fact, being ugly to players on their own team!!!!!!!!!!!

If someone from the bleachers were to watch me during one of these games, they would think I was schizophrenic with the faces I make and watching me mumble under my breathe to only look up with a smile and scream "Cmon Cass, put a zinger over that plate! You can do it!!!!" The mumbling is all the things I would like to say to some of these players' parents, because God knows the glares I send their way do not shut them up.

Last night I was listening to one particulary mean mother talking about several players on the team. "*^*&^, look at how she stands in the batter's box, she looks like a freak"; "*(*^*&%, take a hit for your team don't get out of the way!"; "OMG catch the (&*&^ ball"; "(&)*& just put a strike across the plate!"

And yet another mother yelling at the catcher to stop the ball and mumbling about the little pitcher when she can't put the strike across.

And I sit there biting my tongue so hard that one night I am going to draw blood because I do not want to stoop to their level. I am trying not to yell "HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, pot kettle black." These are the parents of the two WORST players on the team (who believed during rec days as the kid sat the bench except for the 2 requisite innings of play that their kids were STARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS), that when in the field can't stop a ball or throw a ball and when they are up to bat don't even swing.

You know what - our JV team is the pits. Oh well, get the heck over it. While the majority of the girls don't have a clue, at least the majority are TRYING to get it done. Applaud their small victories, yell out your support until you are so hoarse you cannot possibly say another word. Celebrate when they manage to get the runs across the plate, get the outs in the field.

    Support support support....

    Or leave leave leave.

    Rant over :)

My dd has played tb with the pitcher also. I never once said a bad word about her I also knew she apologized. She is probably one of the most respectable kindest softball players I have came across in ball. I also stated that it was not all ppl. What was said on the sidelines from parents was uncalled for. Let me ask you if it was your dd how would you feel if she was hurt and rude comments was being yelled? Blue did not have a problem waiting so the parents should not have. Also it was far from 15 mins. more like enough time to take 3 motrin lets not exaggerate.

She has been hurt and rude comments have been said. The only thing I heard from any parents WHERE I WAS SITTING was lets play ball. There is nothing rude or mean about that.If things had been the other way around there would have been comments made by LN fans. You can say that would'nt happen but you know it would.Unfortunatly there are people in every group that cause this sort of thing. The time spent after the hit is something we'll have to disagree on.

No you are wrong we would not have been rude. You may come to any game and see for yourself. It was'nt just one time it was all through the game. I have never been to a game where anyone has ever rushed a hurt player and I have been doing this for many years also. The point is it's not a parents game so you should all have patients. There were rude comments made to are coach and other players not just mine. And to let you know we have had 7 broken bones through out my dd's time of playing ball and never had parents like this on either side.

    #############################################

    PUNCTUATION ?????

    #############################################

    Corrected

    Second,

Javelin catcher said nothing about asking the fans to settle down, (COMMA) just said that would tell them to leave. NOPE YOU WOULD CALL THE DEPUTY, (COMMA) THen I would leave. (PERIOD) ASK FIRST, (COMMA) like you said jester and would get a better response. (CAPITAL T) Then ask to leave if they don't.

You can ask some people here that I am a good person and care about how the game is played and care about the girls playing. BUT I will also state my OPINION when asked and if you don't like, (COMMA) don't say anything.

Now tell me, just where was any disrespect shown to anyone when the fans yelled out " let's play ball" ?(QUESTION MARK) The injured player was out of the field of play getting attention to their injury, (LOWER CASE S)so why was the game not being played?

And YES, my DD has been injured and the game went on!!!!!!!! So why not this time?????
