My gosh, what type programs are you speaking of, any coach who allows this type of behavior from there players should be sent packing at that instant.
At any of the good programs, no player is allowed outside of the dugout, no player better not ever be caught with a cell phone, and, "NEVER NO PARENTS IN THE DUGOUTS"
You must be speaking of rec. ball.....

    Too many times...

No, I am not speaking of rec ball. I have seen this happening at several HS games as well as a few TB tournaments. As a matter of fact, I saw both of them again today...

I completely agree with you nctiger. The coach(es) should be sent packing but I would take it one step further. The girls would get one warning to not leave the dugouts unless they ask the coach first and it would have for something like getting medical attention for a bloody knee. After that, they would be benched no matter who it was. For the cell phones, our girls are told this before tryouts begin (that's how bad it is IMO). That is their only warning. After that, they are benched.

Well some girls go to their parents to ask what they are doing wrong. The coach is just out there and won't really help with the girls so it's kind of the upperclassmen helping the underclassmen. The only way I know what I'm doing wrong is asking my dad and after that, I go back in the dugout thinking how to fix it. That could be the case for some other girls, but I do not know about that, so I'm not going to assume. I have to help myself during high school ball. :1zhelp: That is my opinion on it.

I can understand where you are coming from and it is unfortunate that you have a coach that is just out there.

I think that the coach(es) should be the one talking/working with your parents. Most of the time, the parents know more about their daughters game, weaknesses, or bad habits so the coaches should rely on the parents to help them coach you better or let you know what you are doing wrong. I am a coach and do this all of the time especially with pitchers. I can call the pitches during the game but if the pitcher is not hitting her spots, I rely on the parents to tell me what she needs to do to correct it. This does not mean that the parents should ever come in my dugout. If I need them, I will go to them.

    1. All conference teams having to be announced after everyone is done playing because team chemistry might be ruined if someone doesn't make the team. Get over it already.

    2. Too large of an all conference team. In the conference I am familiar with it would be easier to vote on who doesn't make it.

3 Not recognizing the conference player of the year at the conference tournament. Instead it is buried in the paper in July or early August.
