Game went nine innings with Erika Pratt of Hibriten hitting a 2 run walk off homerun. Great game by both teams and pitchers.

Why would a coach tell a pitcher not to throw any off speed pitches in one of the biggest games of the season. Not smart when its worked all season??? Please let me know what you think about this one...:yikes::yikes::yikes:

    What the heck......Newton-Conover has meltdown

In a big upset, Patton defeats Newton-Conover 7-6 in a game that should've been put away early. NC did have a few players out due to injury, but still no excuse. NC still had a chance to tie with the runner on second and two outs, but a last minute sub strikes out to end the game.

Hats off to Patton's new coaches for putting some small ball plus timely hitting together and had the team playing much better than the first time. Patton has a good thing going, Great job on the win.

Who took over Patton? Those girls seem to have some talent at certain positions, great win Panthers!

I have seen scores of 27-0, etc but the new school is showing some signs of life? Winning isn't the only thing but it sure feels good to get one!

Two young women coaches, didn't catch the names. They seem very knowledgable about the game and the "head coach" never showed emotion. She did clap and smile after the game.

Man that was a GREAT game. Down 4-0 going into the 4th inning and WIN in the bottom of the 7th it doesn't get any better than that. I tip my hat to St. Stephens they played a great game. Thats the way to not EVER give up Foard....:fan_wave2:
