And what a show he put on. Dominating performance by Madision tonight. Left the game with the lead in the 8th to a standing ovation by everyone. only gave up 1 hit and 1 unearned run. I don't know how many strikeouts he had but it was a bunch

Madison pitched 6 and one-third innings giving up 1 infield hit and 1 unearned run. Madison had 8 strikeouts and no walks given up. He delivered 1 pitch yielding one out in the bottom of the 7th before he was taken out to a standing ovation.

The Crawdads announcer said the stadium can seat 4295 people but yet the attendence tonight was 4805. Tonight's attendence was more than double the previous high for this season.

You would have thought that Augusta was the home team tonight and Hickory was the visiting team the way everyone cheered for Madison. I was glad he delivered an outstanding performance and lived up to his high expectations.

    Red Bear.....

Braves and I missed you last night......we looked around but you must have been in your "luxury suite".....we tried to get through your security but we couldn't pull it off.

Great crowd last night and you did a great job on the weather.

Congrats to Maddie.....he did a great job! Enjoyed watching him pitch. :woman:

I'm sorry I missed yall too. I left specific instructions with security to be on the look out for a couple of over the hill guys dressed in wife beaters with hats on backwards.

Seriously, I made a fortune selling "front of the line" concession passes to all of the first time visitors. :sifone:

    Sweet.

See, that was the problem. There were too many with the same look.

I did manage to take a moment during the game to make an observation. There sure are a lot of pretty wimmins in Hickory/Caldwell co.

    DEAPEST HEARTFELT THANKS

Folks, I really don't know where to begin, Last night in Hickory I was truly taken aback at the large turnout and support for Madison. I can tell each of you that he loves and appreciates each and every fan that will take the time to come watch the game. We are all just very proud of the support showed him in what "could" be the only time that he gets to come to hickory. The outpouring of support was incredible, and he is as proud of you as you are of him. I personally want to thank each of the fans that came to the game, especially the "BIG LEAGUE" gang from Charlotte, BTW I bet that TJ had to buy dinner. I am very glad that Madison didn't let any of you down, and maybe made you proud. As for the standing ovation, and for each and every one of the cheers, Thank you, Thank you all very much. Last night was a night that I will never forget. Not because of what went on on the filed, but for what went on in the stands. Again, THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FORM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
