    Irks All of us at TBR......

    ......slinging snot in posting on TBR by anyone who forgets, or has no clue, (new user names and folks hiding behind fake names with the same IP address), or for that matter ANYBODY who can't get this through their hard head.....We in the Fastpitch family need to realize that whats good for your DD is also good for mine, and so on, and so on......

    Just when I think I've seen EVERYTHING......Well WRONG AGAIN. My daughter is a JV and Varsity player. Yesterday she text me..."we don't have ENOUGH to play"... We only have 7. Now of course thought I was in a time warp, maybe she was playing in a rec ball league without my knowledge. .....Nope HS Softball program couldn't get enough players for a HOME softball game.......Well the jest some of the kids that were playing up and down to fill out the roster on JV decided they were a little "to Good" I guess to do this demeaning task. First WHY are they making the decision....The decision SHOULD have been made for these kids.....YOU are on JV today. Nope schools out. kids scatter......and well the JV's are left to fend and SOME who need the work, turn their nose up at JV's because they originally made "Varsity"..(even though some of thems batting average makes the "Mendoza line" look like HOF numbers).................................What happened to the day when you were just "softball players"....Lets play ball.....Just kind of shows again the severe makeover, from the top on down, that needs to take place at my daughters HS......

    And THANK YOU to the 2 kids(who usually don't play JV) for helping out the JV's just to get a game in. (Burris and Hill)....

    I just have to...

    I had forgotten how much this irks me until the weather finally got warm and the teams started wearing their shorts again.

    I drives me crazy to see some of the girls with their shorts rolled up as far as they can possibly get them without choking themselves. On some of the girls, you can see more of their sliders than their shorts. I have even seen some girls tuck their shorts into their sliders. What is that about?

    I completely understand that these are 'team' uniforms and are generic sizes (not made to fit) so some girls will have to roll them up a little so they can move properly and/or get them away from their knees but there is no reason to roll them up that far. We have had a couple girls on our team try this and we immediately told them to unroll them.

    I also understand many of these girls are at 'that age' but ladies this look is not flattering or fashionable at all (IMO). Again IMO, this is one of those things that a few years down the road you will look at an old picture and say Oh My Gosh what was I thinking!

    agree, but problem is widespread, we started with 16 jv players and ended with exactly 8, pitiful situation as the reasons for quitting (job, grades, misbehavior, grounding) aren't holding water and probably the biggest reason that our jv program will cease to exist this year.

    That they only serve yellow mustard at the concession stands and not spicy brown!
