    coaching....

I have heard that WJ doesn't practice defense much and no live pitching for offense. The hitting coach, whom is not employed by a Johnston Co. school, has definately hurt their batting - has undone what has been learned over the years. Garner deserved to win - out played WJ and was out-coached as well.

Concord rallies down 5-3 with one out in the bottom of the 7th to score three runs for the 6-5 win. KC Shue started the rally with a single, followed by a single by Shannon Arthur and a stolen base, then Audrey Seaford reached on error, Meghan Dakins walked, Becca Sefiel tied the game with an RBI single, and with two outs Jessica Batten singled up the middle to win the game. Great come back!! Concord improves to 11-9 this is the most wins this program has had in recent history that i can remember.

    Jessica Batten 6IP 4ER
    WP-Meghan Dakins 1IP 0R

    LP-Kurtz

    KC Shue 4-4, Rbi, Run
    Shannon Arthur 2 hits
    Carlie Bodder 2 hits
    Audrey Seaford 2 hits
