Just what you would expect

South Meck 4, Myers Park 4 in the 8th

Butler 5, Weddington 5 in the 9th

 

Weddington 6, Butler 5 - 9 innings

Great back and forth game.

Weddington jumps out 3-0 in the second on a three run HR by Ryan Jenkins.

Butler chips away squeezing in a run in the 4th, Micky Brewer and Tyler Tewell put back to back two out hits for a run in the 5th to make it 3-2.

Ryan Glass doubles with two outs in the 7th and scores on Brewer's double.

Butler takes the lead in the 8th on Chris Moore's two run homer only to see Weddington score two runs on an throwing error to tie the score.

Tony Hearrell gets the Bulldogs out of the bases loaded, no out jam with a pair of strike outs and then Tewell speared a shot headed into the left field corner and out race the runner to third for the final out.

Butler looks like they scored the go ahead run in the 9th on a throwing error during a DP attempt. Runner at second was called for a slide out from the base and an automatic DP.

Weddington gets two walks (one intentional) and a base hit to load them. A 3-2 count and two foul balls lead to ball four and a win for the Warriors.

At Providence, Myers Park wins 6-5 over South Meck in extras.

South Meck took a 4-1 lead into the 5th. JD Ey hit a 3 run HR to make it 4-3 in the 5th. With the score the same Chris Overman hit a game tying HR in the 7th. South takes a 5-4 lead in the top of the 8th and Myers Park wins in the bottom of the 8th on a JD Ey run scoring single.
