I hope the boys from Mooresville do not overlook West Rowan tonight. W.R. needs this game tonight to make the playoffs. Tonight is SR. night for Mooresville.

Seedings for Playoffs

East Rowan finished with an undefeated conference record after beating Statesville on Monday 15-0. They had already secured the conference's #1 seed. Mooresville lost to West Rowan on Monday. Mooresville is still the conference's #2 seed, but the win puts West Rowan in the playoffs at the #5. South Rowan lost on Monday to N. Iredell and that drops the Raiders to the #4 seed and NWC takes #3. Lake Norman gets the #6 based on its record against Carson and N. Iredell who also tied for the position.

Mooresville Senior Night

Pizza and Chick-Fil-A, laughs and tears, 1 run short of a perfect night. The class of 08 has alot to be proud of and Mooresville should be proud of them. The majority of the seven seniors have been playing together representing Mooresville for 6 years without incident on or off the field. All 7 going on to college, 4 of them persuing athletics as well as academics. It was great to see all in the starting lineup. Wish we would have done that last year. Jonathon Mayes pitched well, but a 2 out error led to 3 runs and ended Jonathon's night. It was impressive to hear the win totals, tourney championships, and conference championships. Chris Beaver signed to play football at James Madison, Matt Markofski to play football at Valpraiso, Aubrey Meadows to play baseball at UNCC, and Johnny Macelhaney to play baseball at St Andrews. Matt, Aubrey and Chris accepted athletic scholarships. Johnny was offered athletic money in November, but found out later that he would receive more in academic and community service money than was available in athletic money. Johnny and Matt both scored over 1800 on the SAT. While this class did not have a vocal leader, they all led by example. They worked hard and still had fun. They didn't whine or cause trouble, they played ball, respected each other, and put up some great numbers in the process. This group of fine young men will be remembered and missed for a long time. Thank you seniors.

Was wondering if I could get some help about 1st round opponents. From what I've heard, NWC travels to Enka, SR to RS-Central, and WR to Marvin Ridge. Was wondering about Mooresville, Lake Norman, and East Rowan.
