Unfortunately, it will not make a difference

    Greensboro Grimsley vs Myers Park

Shuold be a good game - where will this be played as both are #3 seeds? I am not sure if they are in the upper or lower brackets...

Mincimi had posted it somewhere how they seeded the conferences. I'm sure he will re-post it.

    Mincmi - Help !

I saw his post but it depends on the upper bracket vs. lower bracket thing as to which conference gets the preference for home team...

I am confident that mincmi posted it so a fifth grader could figure it out - but I am not smarter than a fifth grader !

This game is in the bottom side of the bracket. It will be Myers Park at Greensboro Grimsley.

The higher seed is the home team. If two teams of equal seed meet, then follow the seeding priority.

Top Bracket Seeding Priority: MECA 6, Metro,
    Northwestern, Southwestern, Big
    South, Central Piedmont, Queen City

Bottom Bracket Seeding Priority: Queen City,
    MECA 6, Metro, Northwestern,
    Southwestern, Big South, Central Piedmont

Yes there was a large crowd 500 or more. Ran out of seats this was not the place to have a game like this. No parking, No score board, very limited concesions. I understand this all came about very quickly and its no fault of the coachs at Mallard Creek this is just a new school and was not quite ready for this yet. I wonder who got the gate money? It should of been split three ways.

    Question

How does the NCHSAA determine which wild card plays which team?

The 4A west has 42 teams this year.

There are 26 of 32 automatic qualifiers in the west. These qualifiers are based upon the number of 4A teams in each of the conferences, ex. SW4A gets 5 0f 8; NW4A gets 4 of 7; Big South get 2 of 3, etc.

One team from the east (because the east has many more (52) 4A teams than the west) is placed into the west bracket.

Five wild cards are selected from the remaining teams that did not earn an auto birth based upon their overall winning percentage.

There are no wild cards in the 4A East.

    Update

mincmi, thank you for your projections, they are much appreciated...A.C. Reynolds defeated North Henderson this afternoon 12-0 to go to 16-8, but looking at your brackets, I don't think it will have any effect.
