    There is no

guarantee that returning alot of players will mean you are any better or even as good as you were the year before. Sometimes teams assume they will roll with everyone coming back and it just doesnt work that way. Sometimes kids get better and sometimes they dont. Sometimes guys assume they have a spot based on the previous season and younger guys assume they are out of the mix because of all the returners ahead of them. The bottom line is you just never know. Each season teams take on a new face and a new chemistry all of their own.

I am in no way suggesting that this will happen to Ragsdale. They have an outstanding coaching staff and they will be prepared Im sure. But returning alot of guys is not a sure fire road to the same success or more success than the year before. There are too many intangibles.

How many times have we seen teams lose alot of talented seniors and everyone assumes they are going to struggle the next season? And then we look up and they are even better as a team than they were the year before. Each year is different. There is no way of knowing what will happen from year to year.

I'm still trying to find a job!

been laid off for a while and in this "wonderful" economy, work in the highway/site development industry has slowed down. If anybody knows of a company that needs help let me know.
I have been keeping up with my son's baseball by long distance and my oldest daughter, who is a freshman at Northwood, has kept us busy with her softball team winning the regular season and the conference tournament.

I keep an eye on you guys on a routine basis, don't get the idea that it's that easy to get rid of me!
