As of recently, Mount Tabor has started to live up to their Pre-Season ranking. They have two good pitchers in Matt Batts and Parker Thomas. Batts threw Friday, so I would imagine Thomas would throw Tuesday. Thomas has good stuff and good velo. They have recently started to swing the sticks really well. Tyler Vogler (UNCG) is their shortstop and he can swing it as well as Batts. They have other solid players in there lineup that have contributed to their recent success and getting hot at the right time.

Great call. Tabor is really coming on. Not sure what was going on first part of the season, but they seem to be getting it together. They have some very sound players.

Mount Tabor lost four 1 run games early in the season and they also played a brutal non-conference schedule. They played Watauga, Providence, Laney, Ragsdale, Glenn, East Forsyth, and then the tough conference games in the CPC. Their pitching has come on and they have swung the bats better. It will be a huge test and a great atmosphere at South Caldwell. Alot of people are probably saying this will be the toughest game Mount Tabor has played. They played #2 North Davidson last week in the CPC final and lost in 13 innings 7-6.

wouldn't bet on parker pitching. remember they played on thursday instead of friday. plenty of rest for batts. either way there will be a short hook for whoever is starting.

How good is South Caldwell? I heard they were ranked #4 or #5 in the country and #1 in NC. Someone said Messer threw game 1. Who will they throw on Tuesday? What are some of South caldwell's strengths and do they have ANY weaknesses.

I would look for Messer on tuesday. That would be 4 days rest which is plenty. SC has 2 more good pitchers in penny and poarch. Hitting is good 1-9 and defense is outstanding. If Messer pitches runs will be hard to come by for any team and SC can usually put up plenty

    Did they play on Friday?

If so that would be three days rest. I would imagine as good as SC is they will run out the #2 and not pitch Messer on short rest.
