    messer era is 0.14
    probably does not include first playoff game 7-0
    team era is 0.71

    Wouldn't Sat., Sun., Mon & Tuesday be 4 days rest. Don't really matter as strong as m
    Messer is 3 days is enough for him this time of year

    Sat Sun Mon - three days rest. You dont count the day they pitch on as a rest day.

    what is the deal with some teams playing on thur giving them the opportunity to pitch the ace the first two games.

    Allowed by NCHSAA if both coaches consent. I had the same question.

    been going on for years guys. Before the expanding of the teams getting in , the first round was played on Tuesday and second round on Friday. Some teams would agree to play on Monday and then try and play the second round on Saturday or hope for bad weather on Friday.

    As long as both coaches agree to play a day early its allowed.

    Welcome to the politcs of high school sports. Subject to change rule is written on the first page in invisible ink of the rule book that is change daily. It is beside the umpire knows nothing but everything rule.

    Not fair to all teams in the state

    Bush league if you ask me AND should not be allowed!!! Plus the other down side is it allows a coach to go scout his next opponent on Friday!! Bush.
