Yes, the booking was at the game. He got both sides of what happened and then said the action that should have been taken was to disqualify the head coach. ( confine to the dugout for the remainder of the game.) As for the HR, I was told that it would count toward Morgan's career total, but I'm not sure if that is actually the case. Maybe some of our knowledgeable TBR friends could clarify.

To the question of how to get the rules committee to take a look at it, I'm not sure.

If it quacks like a duck, then it....

....its a duck. If Morgan hit the ball out of the park, which she did, then I call that a HR, and it should count towards her career total. And I'll bet she'll rope a few more in the state playoffs. She is one of the purest batters I've ever seen. Normally I would watch the pitcher as she delivers the ball to a batter and then see the result of that pitch from the batter. I was at the WJ/Garner game Sat. and when Morgan was at bat, I was focusing on her at bat. For those of you who have not seen her play, you're missing seeing one of the best HS softball players in NC history,

    Agree but...

If the official score book has it as a triple, it cannot be counted toward career HR stats. They would have to change the book.

Is just sad that it is being discussed at all. The thread should have been 'Morgan hits 24th career HR!'

    It was!!!!!...

...but I did so before realizing that ChaCha had already set the stage. No need for redundant threads.
