    Davie County 7
    East Forsyth 8
    Final 8 innings

    Senior Jordan Kennedy reached base in the bottom of the 8th and freshman Sarah Branoff delivered the winning hit with a double down the left field line and Kennedy scored from first.

    East will play at home against upset winner McDowell at 6 pm on Thursday night.

    I would say that the SW Guilford (11-7) vs Fred T. Foard (22-4) game was a big upset. Don't know much about SW Guilford but I do know the Fred T. Foard team is solid. They lost there last 2 games.

    Fred T. Foard had a great season. You girls hold your head high, you did win a Conference Championship. Now its time for ya'll to get ready for TB (going to be alot of fun). The CVAC league will be well represented on the CV Storm (2 teams now).

    Garner just installed lights. Leesville gave them a great game. Never seen them play before but they are a classy, well coached team and I hear they have several freshmen and no seniors. They did the basics but in the end Garner was just the team with more depth.

    Jen Rosene pitched for Ardrey Kell -- One of the best games for her this year. She is a great asset to AK and look forward to watching her for years to come !! As anyone knows it is a great option to have 2 great pitchers on any given team. AK has a lot to look forward to in years to come !!!!!!

    ....and I mean RESPECT, I've got to point out that they've got Kristen Zimmerman pitching! I know this thread is about scores so I'll just sign off now.

    Snowflake...?????.....sounds to me....

    ....that both of these 2 kids are throwing iceballs! You know, the 'ol get a piece of ice and wrap it with snow.......POW!!!!! And by pow, I mean the sound out in your back yard it makes when its pops you in the noggin, and in ya'lls game, the sound that the ball made popping the catchers mitt!

    Good point East and.....

    ....you were right when you posted before the season started that, yes, WJ is stacked, but with respect,we'll see a new kid at WJ who will rock. Betancourt at WJ is strong and getting stronger! Thanks, fishman.
