Braves, you know I think the world of you and you are always welcome in Huntersville....but with the "stat" mentioned above....do me a favor and go watch AK and North! We have talent, but we ALWAYS need luck... and you know how superstitious I am:supergrin:

Ask and you shall receive. Tell Coach Brown I said Hi and he owes me. I'll move over to North Meck.

    Besides, I owe you :pepper:

No offense... but you cannot prepare for Messer. You can crank up the gun to 90 but it still will not help. He has a slider that breaks completely across the plate. His curveball is about 80. If you work a count 2-0 and think your gonna get a fastball, your probably gonna get a wicked curve. When they played Watauga this year at Watauga. The 9 batter stepped in. Messer got down 2-0 then threw 2 sliders and a curveball to strike him out. No matter how you prepare, your gameplan has to be to shut them out and try to squeeze in one run off of Messer, somehow, someway. It can be done. Good Luck Weddington!

Dont have a chip to fuel, not sure where that came from. I am only stating that you are right it is a good story and that the biased observer could have had a much better article writing about those things instead of what they did. Was not talking about anything on this board I.E Media .Most people would agree, in high school sports media coverage the focus should be on the positive of one team not the negative of the other.

Hey, at least they wrote something. Some teams have great players and awesome things happening, and they don't even notice.

Sorry, with the Cinderella reference I thought you were speaking about TBR. I haven't read the Observer since 2005, so I don't know what they say, but this comment is what referenced my "chip on the shoulder" comment:

"They will go into this game the same way they went into all this year Us against Everyone."

Listen, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a "chip". It can be channeled and used well. In fact, I would suggest having a chip on one's shoulder is a mark of pride and not allowing oneself to be disrespected.....something that can prove useful playing against SC; because I can assure you...SC, definately, will play with a chip on their shoulder.

Weddington would do well to get a bolder on their shoulder to take on a team as good as SC ! [IMG]

Good luck ! You don't have to be a better team - just play better for 2 hours.

Well if Weddington goes down Friday SC will still have to go through Providence/Hopewell and if they cant win they get AK/ND. If they dont give up a run to any of those 5 team than they should be #1 in the nation. Would love to see any of those games

As I stated before the team that scares me the most is N. Davidson. They had a great team last year and lost very little. Providence is also a very good team that could cause some problems for us. fun to be playing all these good teams this time of year when if you don't bring your A game you will go home
