Record breakers

    We have all seen the threads on Landon setting the consecutive game hitting streak record (75) and the NC HS career HR record (26) with Morgan currently at 23 (should be 24!) and still alive in the playoffs.

    Questions are:

    Are there any other records, national or state (not just NC), being broken this year?

    Are there any girls (say Sophomore or Junior) on or ahead of the pace to break a record?

    Murphy High School freshman Brittany Henry set the NCHSAA record for single-season hits (61) last week.

    There was a Girl at Grimsley ,Cantrell Hyde,(SS, lead off hitter) playing against Weddington, in the 1st Round State Playoffs, that hit 3 Home-Runs, including a Grand Slam, all over the fence, that tied a State record for HR's in a game...It was her last game as a Senior, what a way to go out.
