    LETS LIST SOME PLAYERS THAT DON'T USUALLY GET THE PRESS , THAT HAVE IMPROVED FROM THE START OF THE YEAR AND MAKE PLAYS TO HELP THEIR TEAM WIN, WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT.

    Shelby Bowser-----This young lady really works hard and has made great strides of improvement with her bat this year. She is now one of our top hitters every week. She is also a great team mate and a great kid.

    Can't wait to see her play at the next level.
    Guilford is getting a great all-around young lady.

    Well...I've tried to submitt my entry 3 times...each time Ive submitted I guess Ive taken too long...I need to condense my story I guess so that I don't time out.....Maybe Coach Lambros will know who I'm talking about....If you see this Mike ..maybe you could tell the folks about Andrea Smith...2007 walking wounded...Ive got to go to bed...

    Here's a shout out to Kara (ICE) Dawkins RF for West Iredell (Freshman) had a stellar season starting and playing every position on the field but SS and P and not only that played each position WELL............GREAT JOB !!!!!!:Woot_Emoticon::Woot_Emoticon:

    I don't know this kid but it sounds like she's my hero!
    As for Bowser, there's no better person, and I'm glad she's got it goin on now!!!

    Shelby is a super gal! Throw in Emily Darr and I would take both of those fine ladies any day! Ledford is lucky to have both these class acts on the same team!

    here goes


    Heres the condensed story of Andrea Smith 2004-2007....torn acl, two surgeries to correct....gashed kneecap,emergency room visit for stitches....fractured hip, ER trip for x-rays....bad hop to the forehead, ER, slight concussion.....dislocated left shoulder, ER, X-ray......hit in hand by wayward pitching machine, ER trip.....finishing up with dislocted right shoulder, ER.......aaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!! lets just say this gal left it all on the field! Batted 365 with a 1000 fielding percentage in 2007....I put her in the UNSUNG HEROS category mainly because she was one of the few seniors who didn't get an ATTA GIRL at the awards banquet.....maybe just an oversight...but an oversight none the less.
