    Great weekend

    Just got in from umpiring there all weekend. They did great but lost a hard fought championship game to the Charlotte Heat. Unfortunately some of their pitchers are still in the Varsity playoffs and did not pitch. Great event.

    Go HEAT!

    Looks like the Heat is off to a great start! Congrats to Jason and Company for a well put together and even better coached bunch of fireballers!! The 09's have some tough games next weekend. It will be a good test. I can't wait!

    The players had a great weekend and won the tournament as the wild card. They were fired up in the Championship game after winning a semi-final 12-10 over the South Carolina Astros.

    Congrats To Heat 15U Champions

    I want to say that our kids came to play this weekend. I am very proud of them. This is great for the Heat family and organization. Thanks OldAngels coach for the comments and I can't wait for the season to start!!!!!

    Question

    Please allow my ignorance but I assume this was a 2011 tournament? The Heat 2011 team beat the baby bags 2011 team? I got a little confused when the Heat '09's were mentioned. Again sorry but trying to follow.

    Heat 09's

    The Heat 09's play next weekend and didn't play in this particular tournament. This was a 15U Impact Select World Series. The Heat 2011 team won the tournament.

    Great Tourney

    This was a very good game well played by both teams. The Impact Select team consisted of players that were put together to just play in this tourney. Some of the 11's will play in the fall and some will not. We are still in the process of selecting the entire roster for the fall season to play on the Dirtbag team. We will have another tryout sometime this summer and Coach Partin will have some more ID camps as well. If there are any guys interested just keep an eye on the website for information.

    Thanks to all the players and families that participated this weekend. It was alot of fun.
