OK lets hear everyones thoughts. You know who I'm picking but I would pick SC if we were playing the Braves. Not that we could beat them but I'm loyal. LOL

South Caldwell will see the kind of pitching they dont like in facing Will Helms. Lefty who varies speed with a fastball 86-87 and 3 other offspeed pitches to go with it so that give Prov a real chance. It's setup to be a good one as it should be in the final 4 of the West 4A.

The best I can describe this to a SC fan is this way. I love Watauga, but Providence is a little better in every facet of the game. Every single player starting and many sitting are All Conference candidates. Richie Shaffer is a premiere player (a right handed David Mailman) at 3rd, you've got Arnold Swarzenaggar (Semenuick) with a cannon in RF, you've got Danny Hignight, jr (Cole) at 1st, you've got Baby Semenuick playing somewhere or DH'ing (the most talented of all 3 brothers), an outstanding senior player in Will Helms and they all have attitudes to fight, scratch or claw.

Offensively, they put a lot of pressure on defenses by being aggressive. If a defense is sloppy, they will take advantage of it.

It's a very young team and sometimes it shows. But they are very well coached, they will be prepared and they won't be intimidated by the environment. Heck, most of those guys were up there last year.

It should be a very good game and certainly a great test for the Spartans. These are the type games that will toughen a team up to get ready for the next round

    Now it's 7-3 Providence!

Bottom of the 6th. Two out and Messer on 2B with a double.

    You are a Prophet.

Wow! You must have seen a few games in your life. My source tells me that SC has made two or three errors, had a balk and a passed ball.
