I dunno cheeze. I'm sure they have nothing to hide, but they aren't going to respond either on here. I think all that can be said about this situation has been. I can not imagine anything else that hasn't been said that could be useful or informational.

When do the TV ratings come out? I like to see which station had the most viewers when the story broke.

    Let me Clear the Air

Braves, I want to formally apologize if i misinterpreted / taken out of context your remarks made on here earlier. I saw the post that you made regarding AK baseball fans ( not the parents ) along with your comments related to this topic as a whole and felt it was again doing what many do by trying to legitimize the wrongful acts of parents and playing a blame game on those that are more fortunate than others. We hear it almost every day pitting one sect of society against another particularly at this time with the political landscape. My understanding now is that your words about AK were intended to motivate students to come out to the game and not of a derogatory nature. However these are comments made routinely that people do believe are true. When these comments were made along with these comments in this thread I made an unfair judgment of you. For the record I am not one of those parents who would turn in another so that my kid would get playing time as you tried to imply. I have taught my daughter success in both life and on the field come from hard work and doing the right thing and those successes are being realized by her !! ( by the way she is one that is at the AK games early and cheering her team on )

Cheese - I have not in anyway laid blame on anyone at Butler only pointed out many times that this is a pattern that parents are the ones that should be held responsible for their actions when breaking the rules and unfortunately kids get caught up in the mess but also should be held accountable for their actions as well. I agree with you whole heartedly that it always seems to come up around playoff time and that is wrong !!

JC and Cheese -- Why is it that discussion weather heated or not has to be locked away ??? These discussions are what bring about change both in minds and policy's. I absolutely agree that any derogatory comments, founded or unfounded, directly posed to any of the girls is uncalled for and has no place on these boards but to say that a discussion should be filled away is wrong and is exactly what these boards can and should be used for. Discussions of both sides of an issue are important. Hearing only one side of an issue is what causes blindness and ignorance to issues within our society.
I was one of those in my earlier comments about braves and again appologize for my remarks

I don't have a problem with discussing or reading threads like this bigcat. I find it very entertaining to hear other peoples opinions and reasoning, some I agree with some I don't.

For this specific thread, I was talking more about the mud slinging. I have been reading this thread since it started and I still don't think anyone has/knows all of the facts or knows all of the factors at play but that hasn't stopped anyone from slinging a TON of mud for a multitude of reasons.

If we can get back to the original discussion and keep it mostly civil (people will always disagree - that's why they are called opinions), I am all for it.

bigcat, my job on this forum is to make things run smooth, make sure no one gets run over, no verbal damage done to any players, coach, etc, etc. i try to remain neutral throughout it all, but fail sometimes, as i am human. i'm all for change when its needed, but discussing it here and changing it there are two different things. beating a dead horse doesnt bring it new life, it's just wasted energy. sometimes our threads head in this direction and we have to put a halt to them. we've discussed it, found no direct cure, went this way and that, with no avail, and its time to close this out before it gets really ugly.

in closing, if you disagree with how the rules or system works, then work to effect change for the betterment of all involved. it doesnt matter if anyone was guilty of knowing or not knowing in this case, if you disagree with how it was handled, then take it up with the governing body and work to change it.
