I hope that the kids don't come home read TBR and say, "they only metioned Mooresville players and I had a better night than some of them, screw them."

The players will have fun and win games with Johnny Meadows coaching, good luck Post 66!

For the last decade or so I know there has been somewhat of a spilt between the legion program at Mooresville and the rest of the county of Iredell. Those who follow legion baseball in the Mooresville area know what I am talking about. I believe the program started back in the 70's and it has always been called Mooresville Post 66. Back then the program use to draw players from all over the county; Statesville, North Iredell, West Iredell, South Iredell. And then from outside the county; Bandys, Lincolnton, South Rowan, West Rowan, Northwest Cabarrus, and probably some other high schools I failed to mentioned.

Now the players more than likey live in the Mooresville area due to the addition of new teams, and having to play for the closest post. But the point is that it has always been the name of one of the oldest programs in state. So no matter where the players attended high school, the name will always be Mooresville Post 66 and when the legion season starts it shouldn't matter where you played high school ball at, because right now you are representing the community of Moorseville. I know the coaches of both Jr legion and senior legion are aware of that, and for most part the players are too. But it's the parents that need to be educated the most. I myself went to a county high school and played for Mooresville Post 66 and enjoyed every minute of it. Good luck this season to both teams

O.K., now that everyone in Mooresville is fired up, fortheloveofthegame is a friend of mine and we were picking with each other, but we have gotten a better laugh out of responses from outsiders that felt it necessary to respond. Like fortheloveofthegame stated; the kids will be fine, its the "so called adults" that will take the longest.:hammer:

LKNbaseballfan, I thought I was your only friend!!!! I think we should rename the team the Troutman Tornadoes or better yet Johnny's Juniors....

Got Post 66!!!! Looking forward to a great year!!!

I also hope the 3 kids remaining to join the roster are not able to because that means that we have BEAT East Rowan and headed deeper into the states!!!!

The little moores are loaded this year. Great hitting and loaded with pitching. Still trying every one out on defense and when that is final they will be super tough.
