    Bonsway, I had heard somehow the word was spread in school that somebody challenged the AK students to attend the game. Now why would somebody do that :yikes:

    Coach Greeson doesnt have a very good memory. haha.

    I made the trip out to Ballantyne (that drive sucks) and sat in the car for about a half an hour. Not sure if i will make it back out there tomorrow. If so, I'll let you know.

    It's too bad...I am sure some folks would have headed up to Lenoir to catch the other game if they had known this one was a rain out.

    Large crowd


    I noticed the N.D. kids making posters in the gymnasium while we were hunkered down for the tornado! Lordy. I've threatened everyone I know to be at the game, though...it's going to take more than a big crowd to do the job tonight.

    THE Game

    Our fans take some heat, but I can tell you that this is a team that does not feel the need to have anyone boast or build them up as they have QUIETLY been the assassins all season long. Beat Providence twice facing Shaffer, went 2-1 vs Weddington, took down North Meck twice against their best pitcher all final 8 teams . Lose the first conference game of the season and reel off 13 straight conference wins in the strongest conference in the state. AK doesnt have the headliners that ND has on the field, but it will be interesting to see who has the better TEAM. It will be great game and one that is too close to call for a supporter of either team to be confident of a victory. This is what HS baseball is all about so enjoy it!
