South Granville/Fike

Congratulations to Coach Flowers and the Fike program. Massey outdueled Maynard for the 3-1 win. Clutch hitting by Fike late in the game was the difference. The Vikings could not string anything together againt Massey's offspeed stuff after Maynard and May's back-to-back doubles in the 1st.

Difficult way to go out for this outstanding senior class that won 4 conference titles, 2 conf. tourney championships, 2 Easter tournies, and 88 games against 24 losses in 4 years.

You are absolutely right... this is a crowd of young that I too am proud to know a little... great kids!! Will succeed in whatever they do. Man, I was hoping the run would have lasted longer... kudos to you and your team Coach... nothing to be ashamed of...

The high school rule is an immediate dead ball thus negating the hit batter. You're referencing the pro and college rule i believe.
