This is what the field looked like before the big storm came in. The game is rescheduled for today at 5PM if the field is ready?

    Sun in the camera......

....makes your first pic a CLASSIC! Ya'll know me as a snot slinin funny man with no agenda on TBR other than,....well me 1st, and then,....our most valuable asset. OUR KIDS! That said, I'll drift into this realm....the one that makes us all think how fortunate we are to have healthy, cool kids,...talented ones at that, coaches that care, coaches that give their time even when they are criticized each and every move they make, and parents who, like me, bitch and complain that coach did this or DD did that, yep us parents who would run in front of a train for all the girls regardless of who they play for or whatever.....anyway, now that I've set the emotional mood.....look at this first pic by Paul, with the sun passing through our kids!!!! I've got chill bumps. Theres more to this picture than the sun. GOD bless!!!! JDub, the fishman.

    sun shades please

sorry I am over the emotion already with no tears.................on that field, is the late evening setting sun in the eyes of the batters at home plate?? sort of, maybe?

if so, why would you lay off a field that way? but I know they have won championships there so must be OK.

    lay off a field????....

....oh, do you mean that a pitcher might have an advantage? Both pitchers pitched in it! Tonight the best team won. No excuses like I've heard around our neck of the woods!!!!! Typical EOR tears to me.......atleast no one can blame the sun for having a bias in the game. Tired? Not having practice over the weekend? The hitting coach? the 3rd base coach? Grow up and take your medicine! And never forget, the sun will make all things rosie includng peoples cheeks as the frown.

    yes the field

All that? and I was actually just asking how the field in the photo was oriented in relation to the setting sun. jeeeesh.

check a rule book. it actually recommends how to orient a field so as to avoid this.

    What?....asking how the field.....

...was oriented to the setting sun!!!!????? Cmon, obviously the batters are facing the sun at that time of day. What part of the picture makes you think otherwise? Maybe I overstepped the boundaries on this one East, and if I did, and I do alot, I'd say wrong again fish, but common sense prevails over sarcasm and poor subliminal messages this time.....and check the rule book on field orientation is a great thread that you could post.
