Darnell's going to Elon, not Clemson (although he could play at Clemson).

    Wrong

Correction. AK who went 13-1 in conference play would be the best team

    AK Conference Loss

Butler came back with several runs in the final inning to clip AK very early in the season...give them credit. No excuses, and lets just say AK has improved since then.

    Just yankin' Dawgs chain

GG123, you are correct. If memory serves me, Darnell was just coming off of basketball season and did not look in baseball shape as he did in the 2nd meeting with Butler. Jordan is capable of pitching much better than he did last night, but all the AK pitchers must have great confidence in the way your defense and offense are producing. There are many reasons that AK went 13-1 in a tough conference, luck isn't one of them. Wishing you continued success and "Good Luck" in your journey.

    exactly dawgswood...

You said it Dawgswood...the best team is not always the team that wins in a one and done situation but rather the better team is one with a better overall body of work compiled throughout the season...thanks for proving the previously made point several other posters have been trying to get those uncomfortable with the term "underdogs" to understand.

    Confused

I don't understand how a team that is 13 - 1 (in possibly the strongest conference in the state) is an underdog to a team that is 8 - 2 in their conference, when both have almost identical overall records???? Seems to me that there were no underdogs in this game; two evenly matched teams played well to the end.
