    Hes a great kid.

There is no need to come on here and make those types of remarks about a hs player. There is no need to call him out like that by name. You can make your point without putting guys names out there. RS is a great kid and he is very talented. He is a competitor like many that play this game. Maybe he was a little pumped up at the moment. But there is no need to call anyone out like that.

    Agreed....

Coach 27...I have no idea who he is for I have never met him. On the other hand from all that I have heard from members here he is a quality young man, and a great player. I was just seeking details as to the game itself. Which I ' d love to hear frame by frame???

We and our kids need to understand that actions and behavior speak as loudly as words. At a recent game where Providence was the visiting team, a parent of one of their prominent players became so rude and that a police officer had to invite him to just watch the game or leave. Yes the game was intense, but adults and young adults have to act responsibly and respectfully. Parents have to be good role models!

You can have all the talent in the world but ruin it by the way you conduct yourself. And being a great player or being in an intense game is no excuse for behaving badly. I was not at the game last night, so I am not speaking about a specific incident, but we've all seen the player or parent who was an embarrassment to themselves and their team because they had no self-control.

Maybe folks shouldn't mention specific names here, but if a player behaves badly, it's irresponsible of the adults--parents, coaches, teammates--not to hold him accountable for his actions because they reflect on the whole team. Look at the impression it made on Justbegood.

I'm sure this young man has good character, is intelligent, and of course is a star player, and I hope he has a great season next year. The folks in Mecklenburg County have a lot to be proud of!

Just be good left an impression on me. I can not recall the last time someone "called out" a player...it's been years.

It's an old cliche, but a good one: If you don't have something nice to say about someone...don't say it.

    Game 2

    AK 8 Providence 3 F

    Charlotte Observer story link http://www.charlotte.com/sports_breaking/story/638349.html

Sophmore Ryan Butler throws a complete game 3 hitter allowing 3 runs while walking 4 or 5.

AK Jumps on Shaffer in top of first for 3 consectutive hits and plates 2 runs. Prov responds with a run in the first off a walk and a basehit.

Bottom of 2nd Prov freshman Brett Austin crushes a 2R HR to put them ahead 3-2.

Top of 3rd AK RF'er Zico Pasut crushes a 2R HR to LCF to put the Knights ahead for good 4-3

AK adds another run making it 5-3 in top of 5th on a close play at first that would have ended the inning. Shaffer out for Prov and Will Helms in to pitch.

Top of 7th inning Knights get a couple of baserunners and Jordan Darnell puts the game out of reach by clubbing a 3R HR to LF. Prov gets a double in the bottom of the 7th, but Ryan Butler closed it out.

Another great team effort with 10+ hits, great defense and a second consecutive complete game.

    Great season

Congrats to both Providence and to Adrey Kell......it's tough for either team to accept your season is over when you get this deep in the playoffs.

Providence Seniors.....you had a great run, good luck with where ever your next step in life takes you. I have truly enjoyed watching you play these past several years.

AK players and coaches....good luck, hope to see you bring home the trophy to the SW4A.....:champagne:
