    Congrats to RM

    and to HC Pat Smith. A true baseball man that does it the right way. Freshman RHP Benton Moss gets the CG win for RM.

    Also congrats to Coach Mills and his DH Conley club. This is a very young team that is going to be outstanding next season.

    Rocky Mount is playing its best baseball of the season.

    Hey Southern that 10 run loss to Ragsdale in the Impact Challenge doesnt really matter now does it?

    Its not how you start the race its all about how you finish it.

    Oh so young and so good

    Benton Moss was outstanding tonight and came within 1 pitch of a 3-0 shutout as a freshman. He goes to 6-0 on the year. What will this kid be like as a senior!!

    I can tell you the answer to that question

    no better than he is right now if he doesnt work his butt off to get better. An absolute stud if he does. Knowing him like I do I would bank on the latter!

    sure it did - they had to lose that to get the stars lined up just right for the championship - just ask Aycock and Conley. :19:

    Benton Moss was as impressive as any freshman I have seen this year. If I remember correctly his grandfather was an outstanding pitcher at Red Oak High School in the fifties.

    What a game for Benton. What a factor he will be for RM now, and in the future. He came through in a tough ,tough situation tonight. He hasn't pitched in a couple of weeks, but showed no signs of being too rusty. The big thing he had going for him tonight.....he wanted the ball.

    He is great kid who deserves the success he had tonight.

    Coach May is right on, he can be as good as he wants to be, very high upside.
