This may be one of my favorite posts of all time.

Ya gotta remember. We are in South-South Charlotte (closest to SC). You have AK confused with Providence. Heck, you ever hear of a school that starts with the name Ardrey. How country can you get! We still are waiting on indoor plumbing….. and false teeth? (I wish we could afford ‘em). Are baby boys are small for a reason. We don’t sell our cows and chickens for food…we eat ‘em. (although some of our chickens have been family pets for years…only eat ‘em when we have to). State Fair?…..shoot, we don’t even have one; not even a county fair. There’s no place for us to take our prize pigs, so we just enter them in city parades (they look so cute).

Now I’ve been to Greenville. That’s cosmopolitam compared to Ardrey-Charlotte. That’s like comparing Greenville to Dunn, NC. We don’t have convenience stores,. we have open-air markets where my grandma has owned and run it for 55 years. When you go in and ask for tobacco, she asks how many leaves. Where she still sells Borax soap featuring Ronald Reagan on the poster.

We just got these little guys down here. They’re kinda cute wearing their mis-matched socks and tape wrapped around their cleats to keep them together, but them boys are feisty in a Stretchy feisty kind of way. They’ll probably show up, but please don’t make ugly comments about their pets they’ll be bringing. They’re kind of sensitive…..and the players are, too.

I know, I know..but don’t feel sorry for us. We ain’t lookin’ for sympathy, but we do ask that those big old boys from Greenville have some mercy. We don’t have all the studs like Rocky Mount

 

awwwwwwwwwwwwwww com on Bravo each and every time one of the SW4a schools gets a win esp AK Prov and South you see the Bmer s and Benzs' drivin up and down 485 throwin twenty dollar billls out the window tell the truth!!!!!!!!!!

 

Nah...we are in the trucks following those cars scoopin' up those twenties. We're smart like that

 

See, that Oriole fella speaks the truth...you Charlotte City boys trying to pull a fast one on us...I see how you work.

 

Oriole is a coach in New Bern...he is eastern to the bone.

But here is the thing that cracks me up. Diesel bringing up gas prices. It only takes one gallon of gas to get to Zebulon and that's after detouring in Wilson for Parker's BBQ

 

I love Diesel. He has taken Sandbaggin 101 to a Master's level

 

G-Vegas

Now u know you aint countri boy. U guys are frum the big city uf G-Vegas! Aint no body gonna feel sorry for you boys. You got more rings than Elvis down there.

Prep for State Finals this week in G-Vegas

Monday 3:30 practice for Rose.
3:30 stretch and throw.
4:00 BP - RV as usual on the hill.
BP ends at 6:00.
HR derby at 6:15
RV sits in his chair as the boys run a couple of laps around the field.

Repeat this till Fridays game.

Roll out the balls on Friday and let them play.

This should be a fun series between two really good teams. AK wants everyone to think they get no respect from the East. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Rose wants everyone to think that this is a decent team from a weak East in 4A baseball. Again nothing could be farther from the truth.

NOTE: They are both very good. Its anyones series to take. Quit the sand bagging. Leave that to Coach Evans at Roxboro. Now if you want to talk country come to Stem.
