I think that it's absurd that Messer is not on that list too. He will be drafted but I think he may end up a Tar Heel instead of signing. Whatever he decides to do the kid can pitch.

Juco's are fine, if players choose on their own to go the Juco route. What's sad is when they would like to play Division I (which is most often the case), but their grades or their off the field actions don't allow it. Also, most guys with high high high draft stock coming out of Juco went to Juco for the simple reason that they can be drafted after 1 or 2 years of college ball. If you play Division I you must wait 3 years before entering the draft.

Yep, Ryan Jackson is outstanding, but he is not from our area. Oh...and Shelton has the same kind of arm.

But if we are going to include Georgia in our region, then Gordon Beckham is the highest rated ss

That's a quality reason for many of them.

Yep, the pro guys love him and I like his size, too. If it was me faced with the decision of Michael or Lassiter....Lassiter would be my 3rd baseman, but he is a special player that can play multiple positions.

Oh, no doubt it's a quality reason. Just pointing out that these players didnt go to Juco's just because nobody from D1 or D2 wanted them. They went to Juco's because that was their quickest route to the pros. Nothing wrong with that, just pointing it out.

I think we can all agree that any coach that's faced with the decision of what to do with Levi Michael and Garrison Lassiter is one lucky coach, right?

When Lassiter committed to UNC he was ranked as #53 HS prospect by Perfect Game, but I don't know his current status with PG. FWIW, I think PG has a better handle on high school prospect rankings than BA.
